Blogging with my girls

As I was enjoying a lazy Saturday morning, I decided to flip through my June 2012 issue of Family Circle magazine. On page 114, something caught my eye: an article entitled "Safety Net"... according to the American Psychological Association,
"Blogging may help soothe stress and boost self-esteem... Researchers say blogs are even more effective than written journals for kids because they promote sharing, allow feedback and built interpersonal skills."
My oldest daughter, Kaitlyn, and I have weekly meetings where we talk about things that are bothering her, discuss ways to be happy, read American Girl books about body changes, etc. Plus she and I both love journaling - in fact we keep a "Mommy & Me" journal, which we pass back and forth and write letters to each other. So this magazine article sparked an idea - maybe we could keep a blog together! And hey, instead of just Kaitlyn and I, what if we included her sisters as well! And there began our newest creation - "Sweet Silly Sisters"!!

Between the five of us, we have lots of ideas racing through our heads - but I told the girls we need to start off slow - maybe with some introductions :) Kaitlyn offered to 'interview' her sisters so all of our readers (friends and family of course!) can get an insight into who we are and how we're silly!!
